FREE Cuyahoga County Stormwater Control Measure Maintenance Training for Municipal Staff and property owners/management companies maintaining Bioretention/Rain Gardens.

This workshop addresses NPDES MS4 Permit MCM 6 annual training requirements and is open to 100 attendees.

South Euclid Branch Library, 1876 S Green Rd, South Euclid, Ohio 44121, April 11th 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM

In collaboration with our regional partners, the Cuyahoga SWCD is offering a short free training module for your staff and contractors involved in the maintenance and inspection of municipal stormwater control measures (SCM’s).

As land is redeveloped in the region, the implementation of better SCM’s will benefit both residents and businesses. This training program will ensure that your personnel are trained to inspect and maintain needed for the long-term function and effectiveness of your stormwater control measures.

The training will not exceed two hours and will be held on April 11th from 9:30AM-12:30PM at the South Euclid Branch Library. The course will be taught by Elizabeth Hiser, Natural Resources Coordinator from Cuyahoga SWCD, and is custom designed to address common questions on existing and future Cuyahoga County sites. The training module will focus on bioretention.

Please note that the content of this workshop has been reviewed by Ohio EPA to ensure this training satisfies municipal stormwater permit requirements for Minimum Control Measure 6 (Pollution Prevention/Good Housekeeping). As an operator of a regulated small municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4), MS4s are required to conduct employee training on stormwater pollution prevention practices at least once per year.
