NOWCorps Environmental Service

As a NOWCorps member, which is a branch of AmeriCorps I wear many hats at Cuyahoga Soil and Water. I am a service member and my duties range from tree plantings, educational outreach events, volunteer events, water quality monitoring and education, and much more! I am also a graduate student at Cleveland State University studying Environmental Science with a focus on invasive plant management and ecology. I have learned many great new skill sets during my service so far such as how to lead events and plan events. I learn so much from the staff and all of their different areas of expertise.

Before this amazing opportunity, I earned my Bachelors in Environmental Science with a biology minor at Cleveland State University. I was a seasonal Biological Technician for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and have been an active volunteer as a certified watershed steward with Cleveland Metroparks. I am also a certified naturalist and a teaching assistant at Cleveland State University where I teach fun subjects such as plant biology, physical features of ecosystems, wetland ecology, and stream ecology. The field of environmental sciences restoration is my strong suite, but i am a jack of all trades in the environmental science world.
