Abram Creek Streamside Tree Planting

When: September 25 from 10:00am - 1:00pm
Where: Cedar Point Rd. east of Aerospace Parkway, Brook Park, Ohio 44142 map this

We're looking for volunteers to help plant trees along Abram Creek!

Tuesday, September 25 from 10:00am-1:00pm and 5:00pm-7:00pm. We'll be planting trees along Abram Creek at Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport. Meet at the bottom of Cedar Point Rd. east of Aerospace Parkway (basically, when you get to the NASA security gate at the corner of Cedar Point Rd. and Aerospace Parkway, turn right and follow Cedar Point Rd. down the hill - look for the signs). visit tinyurl.com/abramcreek for a Google Map.

Busy schedule - no problem! Stop by any time during the times listed and stay for 20 minutes or stay for 2 hours to help us enhance and expand Abram Creek’s forest buffer.

Never planted a tree before? No worries! Volunteers will receive a brief training and demonstration about how to plant the trees and shrubs. These events are appropriate for families and children - all are welcome, no experience necessary!

What to Bring:

  • Shovels: We will be able to provide a limited amount of shovels, but please bring one if you have one!
  • Work gloves and boots: please dress appropriately for the weather!

BONUS: Volunteers will get an up close look at the Abram Creek Outlet Structure where Abram Creek emerges from under the runway.
