Learn how to harvest rainwater for all your garden needs and to combat stormwater pollution in your community by constructing a rain barrel! The City of Olmsted Falls and Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District will host a rain barrel workshop on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 beginning at 6:30 PM at the Olmsted Falls Service Center (located behind the Fire Department on Columbia Rd.). Each participant will construct a rain barrel to take home. The workshop fee includes instruction and all materials, including a 60-gallon barrel and a downspout diverter. Registration is required by April 22.

A rain barrel is a container used to collect and store rainwater that would otherwise be lost to runoff and likely diverted to a storm drain. Collected water may then be used to water lawns and gardens.

To register: Register online below or by calling Rocky River Watershed Program Manager Jared Bartley at 216-524-6580 x1003.
