Where: Stearns Homestead, 6975 Ridge Road Parma, OH 44129 map this

Thank you so much for your interest in growing trees. Sadly, we have had very few registrations, which does not make it feasible to hold the Reaching New Heights (Tree Huggers 101) workshops. However, since we want to get the message out about how to correctly plant trees, and more importantly, how to grow trees, we are willing to offer a combined session at the Cuyahoga SWCD office on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. For more information, visit the following link:

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now. -Chinese Proverb

YOU can help increase canopy cover and reduce runoff all while beautifying your yard and your neighborhood - all by planting a tree!

Proper planting and care are essential for young trees to survive and thrive. At this workshop, participants will learn the basics of tree planting and care, including a hands-on tree planting demonstration. An overview of county-wide tree canopy restoration efforts will also be presented.

The $10 registration fee includes one 1.3 Qt. native tree and take-home instructions. Trees are available for a variety of soil and sun/shade conditions - please see tree descriptions below.

Trees are supplied by Riverside Native Trees in Delaware, OH.

To register online, select your tree type below and pay online by credit card.
