Rain Garden 101

Rain Garden 101

When: March 10 from 7:00pm - 8:00pm

Rain gardens are not only beautiful but functional. They help control stormwater runoff (rain) from hard surfaces such as roofs and driveways by holding it in place to soak into the ground slowly. In addition, the roots of the plants and soil help to filter pollutants the stormwater collects along the way. Stormwater pollution is the number one source of pollution on our waterways. Anyone can plant a rain garden!

Elizabeth Hiser from Cuyahoga SWCD will talk about the importance of rain gardens at this online workshop hosted by the Rocky River Public Library.
