Join us as we revitalize a public rain garden at Greenwood Farm in Richmond Heights!
Volunteers are needed to plant native species in a small basin on site. We will also be removing invasive garlic mustard from the property. No need to stay for the entire event if you have time constraints.
All tools and materials will be provided, and no prior knowledge of native plants is required to participate.
Please come prepared with long pants, close-toed shoes, water, and anything else to make sure you are comfortable.
We will also provide sun protection, bug spray, hand sanitizer, and a first-aid kit.
This planting is made possible by a WRLC/Dominion Watershed Mini-Grant in partnership with the Greenwood Farm Association.
By registering for this event, you are agreeing to our volunteer waiver and photo release.
Greenwood Farm is equipped with benches, picnic tables, and port-a-johns. There is no potable running water on site.
There is free vehicle parking on site. RTA bus route 94 has a stop directly at the entrance of the park at the Richmond Road and Merit Drive stop.
Please let us know if you have any food allergies.
Please let us know if you plan to bring children with you.
