Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District will be hosting their Local Work Group meeting on May 23rd from 6:00pm-7:30pm at the Powers Boulevard Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library in Parma.

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Services will be there to listen to your natural resources ideas, thoughts, and concerns. Potential topics include soil health, stormwater mitigation, air quality, organic waste diversion, and more. This is your chance to have your voice heard and learn about potential funding opportunities through the NRCS. Please join us!

Local Work Group meetings are a locally led process creating a grassroots foundation by which conservation needs, resource concerns, priorities, and recommendations are used to address needs at the local level. The Cuyahoga Local Work Group meeting will be an opportunity to discuss conservation priorities in the county and the project resources needed to address them.

As a local conservation and/or urban agriculture stakeholder, we welcome your input on this important topic. Please follow the link below to register and feel free to share this with any other individuals or organizations you think may be interested.

The Local Work Group meeting is free and open to the public, however registration is encouraged for room set up purposes. Food and beverages will be provided. If you are unable to attend but would still like to provide input on local conservation and urban agriculture priorities, feel free to connect with Jakob Hamlescher at jhamlescher@cuyahogaswcd.org.
