REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT ONLINE PRIOR TO EVENT REQUIRED TO RECEIVE RAIN BARREL.
Learn how to harvest rainwater for all your garden needs and to combat stormwater pollution in your community by constructing a rain barrel! Cleveland Public Library and Cuyahoga SWCD will host a rain barrel workshop and pick-up at the CPL Jefferson Branch on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
Each participant will construct a rain barrel to take home or can pick up their rain barrel and construct at home with provided online instructional video.
The $60 Kit 1 fee includes instruction and all materials, including a 60-gallon barrel and a downspout diverter. If you would like to create a two-barrel system (one barrel connected to another barrel), Kit 2 has a second barrel and connector kit available for an additional $40.
*Please note if you are trying to attach multiple rain barrels to different downspouts (instead of connecting them to each other) you will need to purchase Kit 1: Rain Barrel & Divert Kit.
Registration is required by June 5th. LIMITED SPACE! This event registration will close after 20 people, so make sure to get your spot now!
ALL RAINBARRELS MUST BE PICKED UP AND TAKEN HOME THAT NIGHT.
A rain barrel is a container used to collect and store rainwater that would otherwise be lost to runoff and likely diverted to a storm drain. Collected water may then be used to water lawns and gardens.
