Join the Rocky River Watershed Council for a celebration of the Rocky River at our annual fundraising event.
On September 8th at 6:00pm the RRWC will be hosting an evening of beer, food, fun, raffle prizes, and nature tours/demos. Our featured speaker will be Jeremy Peppard of the Cleveland Metroparks who will be telling us about the plan to drain Hinckley Lake and restore Hinckley Dam (beginning fall 2023). We'll also have tours of tree IDs and other nature demonstrations, as well as a variety of excellent raffle baskets prizes (think rain barrels, Metroparks golf passes, t-shirts, and more!) - tickets sold separately from entry tickets, see below.
Please note: raffle tickets can be purchased in advance or at the event itself. If you would like to purchase them at the time of the event please bring cash or check.
We'll be comfortably situated at Redwing Picnic Area, but if you wish to join the nature tours please bring appropriate shoes.
Tickets are $25, or $20 for those under 21 years of age. Please note drinkers must be 21 years old or older.
The evening will also highlight all the work RRWC has carried out over the last year to protect our watershed and educate the public. All the money raised from this evening will go towards the next year's work conserving our precious natural resources.
Please note: tickets must be purchased by 11:59pm on Tuesday September 5th, in order for food orders to be placed. Ticket sales will close after this time.
