P: 216-524-6580
Catalina is a biologist from Colombia, and recently completed her Master’s degree in biology at John Carroll University, OH. She is thrilled to be the new GIS intern at Cuyahoga SWCD, where she gets to dive into her love for maps and georeferenced data. In the Stormwater department, she’s gaining valuable experience with SCM techniques while digitalizing various sites across Cuyahoga County. Catalina’s background includes using GIS for conservation projects in tropical habitats, where she analyzed satellite images and georeferenced coordinates.
As a biologist, she has a special affinity for working with amphibians and reptiles in the field, as well as studying aquatic ecosystems. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, biking, and nurturing her plant collection.
