Lauren Conard

After graduating from the University of Akron with a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Lauren worked in several different environmental sectors before joining Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District as an Urban Technician. Lauren’s background inspecting streams and stormwater infrastructure reflects her passion for protecting natural resources in urban environments.

As a member of the Stormwater Team, Lauren’s duties include Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWP3) reviews and monthly construction site inspections, as well as annual inspections of existing Stormwater Control Measures (SCMs). She is dedicated to making SCMs easy to understand by creating maps and models showing how they work, the areas they treat, and the benefits they provide.

Lauren enjoys spending time out in the field, as it provides her ample opportunities to collect “found treasures” (aka rocks) to contribute to her ever-growing collection.
