Katie Spotz - Row for Water
Thursday, October 7th at Brecksville Community Center. After 70 days alone at sea, 22 year-old Katie Spotz became the youngest person ever to row an ocean solo. No stranger to overcoming challenges, Katie has run across desserts, cycled across America, and is the first person to swim the 325-mile Allegheny River. As part of the challenge, Katie partnered with the Blue Planet Network to help the billion people gain access to safe drinking water for life. To date, Katie has raised over $100,000 for safe drinking water projects.

IT'S RAINING ART
Painted rain barrels are popping up across Cuyahoga County. Twenty-eight barrels were distributed to local artists who graciously donated their time, money and talent to make these barrels a work of art. Painted barrels will be displayed from June 15th - September 30th and there is an on-line auction to bid on the barrels. Click here for more details and to view the barrels. The rain barrel art page shows up different on some computer, if you see only a banner and blank space, scroll down and the rain barrels will be on the page.
