School Program – Streamulator Model

CUYAHOGA SWCD STREAMULATOR MODEL

The Streamulator is a large stream table that helps students visualize the characteristics of a natural stream such as erosion, deposition, sediment transport, and more. Teachers can also use this model to demonstrate how changes to a stream effect the overall system.

 This model is available as a single presentation from a Cuyahoga SWCD educator or can be rented and used by a trained educator. A $25 refundable deposit is required for rental. 

The Streamulator Model can be used with students at many different grade levels, but fits best with 7^th grade science curriculum as it aligns with the following Ohio State Science Standard:

7.LS.2: In any particular biome, the number, growth and survival of organisms and populations depend on biotic and abiotic factors.
