P: 216/524-6580, ext. 1014
Tim comes to environmental education through a background in classroom education. He earned a Master’s degree in bilingual childhood education from Bank Street College of Education. Tim worked as a bilingual teacher in the New York City Department of Education for eight years, where he taught all subjects in the 4th and 5th grades in both Spanish and English. In this role, he got his first taste of environmental education through experiences like leading the 4th grade camping trip and training at the Watershed Forestry Institute for Teachers. As Education Program Coordinator, Tim brings together his excitement about the natural world with his dedication to expanding access to environmental education to plan and implement programming for teachers and youth.
In his free time, Tim enjoys experimenting with permaculture design in his garden and strolling along the lakefront.
